XDA Recognized Developer Sultanxda has become quite popular in the OnePlus community thanks to the work he’s done on unofficial builds of LineageOS. Official builds and even some unofficial builds don’t typically see much optimization beyond what’s included in the source code, but Sultanxda’s LineageOS 14 builds for the OnePlus 5T improve the phone’s camera quality, used a kernel that enhances security and performance, enable faster fingerprint unlock, and much more. The installation process isn’t too crazy, but Sultanxda points out that you run into a “dumpling.verify_modem” error when you’re flashing the ROM. If that happens to you, don’t worry — there’s a solution in the thread.
