UK retailer Carphone Warehouse has just announced immediate availability of Sony’s newest high-end smartphone, the Xperia Z3+, and it’s throwing in a couple of nice incentives for audio lovers to boot.
As noted before, the Xperia Z3+ is essentially an international version of the Xperia Z4, which was announced for the Japanese market back in April of this year. It carries over the ‘Omnibalance’ design and water/dust proof build (up to IP68) of previous Xperia Z products, with specs that include Sony’s 5.2-inch ‘Triluminos’ IPS display at 1920×1080, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage with microSDXC expansion slot, 20.7-megapixel Exmor RS main camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2930 mAh non-removable battery. The Z3+ measures 6.9mm thick and weighs 144 grams.
Carphone Warehouse is also including a ‘Hi-Res Audio Bundle’ for customers who wish to order the new device on any pay monthly or pay monthly upgrade plan until September 30th, 2015. The bundle will include a pair of Sony MDR10-RC headphones in the box, a voucher for six ‘hi-res’ album downloads, as well as a 3-month subscription to the TIDAL music streaming service.
The Xperia Z3+ starts at £40 per month, or £549.99 SIM-free, and comes in black, white, and an ice green color that is exclusive to Carphone Warehouse.
