As part of the Open Devices initiative, Sony has released a set of bootloaders that allow the device to boot from the recovery partition, remedying a long-standing problem faced by developers. The first devices to receive the new bootloaders are the Xperia T2 Ultra, T3, M2 and E3, and can install it using Flashtool.
